Has Win 2000 Operating System loaded with SEACLEAR Charting & Plotting program and ~80-250 NOAA raster charts of your choice (I have charts of East and West US coasts, major Midwest US rivers and Canadian Coasts, including the US & Canadian Great Lakes, St. Lawrence Seaway, Bahamas, Caribbean, West & East coasts south to Panama, English Channel, Mediterranean & Baltic Seas, etc. Or ~80 large scale sailing charts of all of the US coasts and its territories covered by NOAA raster charts). Also included are 4 GPS down/up utility load programs for all popular GPS receivers. NOTE ON CHART SETS: The Laptop comes with TWO SETs of free charts. The US coasts and lakes are divided up into ~ 25 chart sets ( Example: Region #2 Chart Set covers Block Is., NY to CN border is one set of 188 charts, 480 MB in size). Extra charts sets are available at additional cost.
NOTE ON GPS USE: The included ‘mouse’ type GPS is connected to the USB Port or your intelligent GPS (Garmin, etc.) to the Serial Port (9 pin RS 232 D type connector on rear of laptop) with a cable from your GPS (Sold on Best). GPS receiver and Itronix GoBook working together will plot present position/track, Course Over Ground, Speed Over Ground (in the case of the ‘mouse’ type GPS) and present position/waypoints/routes/tracks, COG, SOG in the case of your intelligent GPS on the charts loaded in the laptop.
